About Wired Education Foundation
Our mission is to provide digital video (Discovery Education Streaming) to K-12 schools as a supplement to subjects taught in classrooms.
If one picture is worth a thousand words, imagine what a thousand pictures would be worth.
Wired Education's first accomplishment was the integration of the Discovery Education Streaming program into the Fall 2006 curriculum of the KIPP DC Public Charter Schools.
In addition to KIPP DC, there are more than 60 Public Charter Schools and 150 Public Schools in the District of Columbia to which Wired Education plans to introduce Discovery Education Streaming, offering subsidized subscriptions first to schools in Wards 7 and 8, then expanding city wide, and eventually nationwide. There are 28 Public Charter Schools that have become subscribers to date in 2007, with six others in the process of installing Discovery Education Streaming.
Our directors are: Christina Culver, John Dickerson, Wyatt Dickerson, Carson Porter, Esquire and Rodney Page , Esquire
